LOVE PORTRAITS
The project captures a convergence of lives, each frame a window into the evolving nature of love and time. Martin’s birthday unfolded like the turning of a page, familiar faces gathered to honor a man whose story had been written in many chapters. Then there was Hadji, marking her 30th—a milestone not only for her, but for the many versions of herself that had been loved and witnessed by different people at different points in her life. These moments, now captured in the stillness of photographs, reflect not just the faces of today, but the echoes of those who’ve known them longer, in other seasons, in other spaces.
In these portraits, there is an intimacy of shared time—a love passed down through the years, woven together by those who have seen them grow. Each image is more than a celebration; it is a quiet testament to the ways we hold and reshape the people we love. And in this act of capturing, I hope to preserve these quiet shifts, these transformations, for future generations who might understand them in a new light, as love continues to evolve, as it always does.
Thank you to Martin & Hadji for the permission to use these photos.
